11 “Good” years

Last month, Eric and I took a trip to northern Montana to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. We wanted to go camping and visit Glacier National Park. Thankfully, we were able to do both even though our campsite ended up being 1 ½ hour away from Glacier. We drove on the Road-to-the-Sun highway right around sunrise (it was beautiful), and we spent the rest of the day exploring where Eric used to fight fire. That included a trip to Polebridge, MT, and the northernmost part of the park, near Canada.

There was a time when I wondered if I would get married. Now, more than a decade later, I’ve had 11 years of highs, lows, in-betweens, and too many adventures to count, all with my best friend. We love each other more than we did when we got married and haven’t driven each other crazy (yet). Eric is working to meet his goal of us having the same haircut (I always thought it would be me cutting my hair to match his, not him growing his out), and we still like being around each other. So all in all, the last 11 years haven’t all been great, but all of the years have been good 🙂
