It’s been almost five years, and I still don’t know the why. I may never know. I still have so many questions that will probably go unanswered this side of eternity.
But there are several things I do know.
God loves me and sent his son to die for me.
Bad things don’t discriminate. They happen to every single person — good or bad — in the world. It’s one thing everyone has in common.
The world is full of beautiful things that help dull the pain of the bad. They can’t take it away, but they make it easier to get through the day.
I thank God for those beautiful things, and they are what I’m focusing my life on.
